Today, San Francisco-based MuleSoft made its debut as a public company on the New York Stock Exchange (disclosure: MuleSoft is the parent company to ProgrammableWeb.com). Ahead of the IPO, the company priced its shares at $17 and closed its first day of trading at $24.75.

Hayo, connected home solution provider, recently announced that its smart home device will include a Hayo API for developers to tap into. The API gives developers the ability to “receive events” from virtual remote controls. Once received, the API can trigger a subsequent action through third party apps and devices.
As a developer, you might have gotten the request at some point to add “electronic signature” (eSignature) to the apps that you’re building. It could be with uploaded documents, accepting Terms of Service when signing up, or assembling a document on the fly. I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to suck to build this kind of solution (or integration). It may not be why you think, though—most developers don’t know that there are many different ways to enter into a legally binding agreement digitally.
